Recently, Node community was shocked by one guy, who removed all his packages from NPM, and left thousands of developers who used his packages in their project suffering a lot (I’ve Just Liberated My Modules). Surprisingly, one of the interesting package he removed is called ‘left-pad’, which has only 10+ lines, are heavily used by developers with more than 20k downloads per day.

After opening my blog, I am quite lazy to write and update blog posts. Part of the reason is that I set up and hosted my own blog on my own server. But all my post are saved in the Github repo. So every time I wrote a blog, I need commit it and push it to the Git repo, then login to my server, and manually do a
git pullto fetch the newly created post to display them. This is quite tedious so I really want to get rid of this step. Luckily, I found that Github provide a wonderful service called
Webhookthat can help me to solve the headache.

Recently I met an interesting issue on TEAMMATES. One of the datepicker in an input box could not be displayed properly on Safari. This issue happened on Safari only as the datepicker could be shown on other browsers such as Chrome and firefox.

After taking CS3281/82 this semester, I became quite interested on open source projects. Recently, I was contributing for a famous Chrome extension called Unblock-Youku. This is a famous Chrome extension for helping overseas Chinese to be able to watch China’s major video streaming websites such as Youku, and that’s how its name came from.
